Chair of the Scientific Committee
Tim is the current 2nd vice-chair of the Europe Region of World Physiotherapy, where he chairs the Advocacy & EU Matters Working Group. He holds a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Sciences from the University of the Witwatersrand of Johannesburg, South Africa. He is currently doing his PhD on Continuing Professional Development and Quality in Physiotherapy at Hasselt University, Belgium. He is involved in the courses on European Policy and Legislation, Professional Organisation and in the organisation of the clinical and scientific internships for master students. He supervises master thesis students, guiding the future colleagues. Tim has served as the vice-president and the secretary-general of the Belgian Professional Organisation and is currently the international relations officer. He is involved in several policy and legislative councils in the Belgian National Institute for Health and Disability Insurance.
Tim combines his legislative and academic work with managing his private practice. This enables him to integrate knowledge from policy development, research and clinical expertise to help further the profession.
