Scientific Committee

Carmen Suarez-Serrano holds a BSc in Nursing, a BSc in Physiotherapy and a PhD from the University of Seville. She is an Associate Professor and the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Physiotherapy and Podiatry of the University of Seville where she supervises MSc and PhD students. Her field of expertise and her research are focused on Physiotherapy in women’s health and pelvic health. She is a member of the Academic Commission of the Doctorate Program (interuniversity) in Health Sciences, which brings together the University of Seville, the University of Jaén and the Andalusian School of Public Health. She has participated and led several European and national research projects. Carmen is the General Secretary of the Spanish Association of Physiotherapists (AEF). She is the 1st Vice-chairman of the Executive Committee of the Europe Region of World Physiotherapy serving also as Chair of the Education and Research Working Group. She was also a member  of the Scientific Committee of the 4th Congress of Physiotherapy of the Europe Region held in Liverpool in 2016.
